The Lodge operates two Coast Guard approved charter boats and both are safe, comfortable and have heated cabins, with kitchen and head facilities and fly bridge. In the spring of 2007, Wilderness Beach Lodge will add to the fleet their new state of the art custom-built Maxweld Aluminum Catamaran the M/V Quicksilver.

The Quicksilver cat raises the bar for charter boats in Alaska and is the ultimate fishing machine for Kodiak waters.

Wilderness Beach Lodge Port Lions, Alaska - Salmon and Halibut fishing - QuickSilver, our new boat!

This aluminum construction vessel, exemplifies the finest of Alaska fishing charter boats. The Quicksilver is one of the faster vessels in the fleet allowing it to reach distant fishing grounds with minimum travel time. Twin 350 horse power turbo diesel motors power this seaworthy vessel.

At 40 ft long and 14 ft wide, it is very safe, comfortable and anglers will appreciate the full walk- around fishing deck which allows ease in fighting fish from any position on the boat. It also has a landing- craft feature allowing the bow to fold down for easy beach access for bank fishing, exploring, or to step off and have a shore lunch. The fly bridge is an excellent platform for photographing the local scenery and wildlife such as whales, otters and various bird species.

The Quicksilver has a fully enclosed heated cabin with a kitchen complete with stove, refrigerator / freezer, microwave, comfortable indoor seating for up to 10 passengers, and a fully enclosed private restroom.

The salmon and halibut fishing a few minutes from the lodge is some of the best in Alaska, but with our new cat, we have added more range for access and fishing in very remote areas, but always a short distance from shore.
